چیزی که در تصویر دیده می شود مدرکی بر این ادعا هاست. اما به احتمال بسیار زیاد، بخش های محبوب ویندوز 7، بدون تغییر اساسی و با اضافه کردن چند ویژگی کوچک به ویندوز 8 منتقل می شوند. به نظر می رسد مایکروسافت قصد دارد همچون مکینتاش روی کاربرپسند بودن سیستم عامل محبوب خود بیشتر سرمایه گذاری کند.
